SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 353

WHEREAS, Poka Lambro Telephone Cooperative is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1950, Poka Lambro provides reliable telephone service and high-speed internet to rural communities in West Texas; the company's service area spans 4,200 square miles from south of Lubbock in the lower Panhandle to north of Midland in the Permian Basin; and

WHEREAS, One of the leading telecommunications companies in the Southwest, Poka Lambro delivers products and services to a number of businesses in the agriculture and petroleum industries; in addition, the company makes a positive impact through its Community Giving Initiative, which provides financial support to local nonprofits, and it awards scholarships to high school seniors; and

WHEREAS, For three quarters of a century, Poka Lambro has contributed to the economic prosperity of the West Texas area and beyond, and the foundation of good corporate citizenship on which it is built will help to ensure its existence well into the future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th Legislature, hereby commemorate the 75th anniversary of Poka Lambro Telephone Cooperative and extend to the company's leadership and staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Poka Lambro as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
