SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Texas Association of Museums in honor of its 50th |
|
|
anniversary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Texas Association of |
|
|
Museums has strengthened the Texas museum community through |
|
|
collaboration, professional development, and advocacy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In celebration of this milestone, the association |
|
|
is hosting its 50th annual meeting under the theme "Bridging the |
|
|
Past and Future"; the gathering is curated to foster |
|
|
collaboration, build partnerships, and explore visionary |
|
|
approaches to preserving and interpreting Texas' rich heritage; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The association's annual meeting draws hundreds |
|
|
of museum professionals, historians, educators, and enthusiasts |
|
|
from across the state and provides an invaluable forum to examine |
|
|
best practices, emerging trends, and innovative strategies in |
|
|
the field of museology; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Museums, gardens, zoos, and archives throughout |
|
|
Texas play a vital role in preserving our shared history, |
|
|
celebrating cultural diversity, and inspiring curiosity, |
|
|
creativity, and lifelong learning for Texans of all ages and |
|
|
backgrounds; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of the |
|
|
Texas Association of Museums and extend to its members and all in |
|
|
attendance best wishes for a memorable gathering and for |
|
|
continued success in their endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
the Texas Association of Museums as an expression of esteem from |
|
|
the Texas Senate. |
