dream of moving to Texas from Mississippi; travelling by wagon, |
the "Old Three" arrived at the top of what is today known as |
Wallace Mountain in January 1854 and decided to settle among the |
area's rolling hills, rocky creek beds, and abundant wildlife; |

12-block city plan in 1881, and a school, a hotel, a livery |
stable, and several shops were soon established; farming and |
ranching remained the mainstays of the economy for the next |
century, but the expansion of Austin beginning in the 1970s |
helped convince Dripping Springs residents to incorporate the |
city in 1981; and |

Wedding Capital of Texas; and |
WHEREAS, The 2025 Founders Day Festival is organized by the |

celebration features a range of attractions, including a parade, |
live music, arts and crafts, and a carnival, as well as a church |
