R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The passing of Eva Marie Coe of Tyler on
  February 18, 2025, at the age of 56, concluded a remarkable life of
  service in the ministry; and
         WHEREAS, The former "Eve" Alvarez was born in Napoleon, Ohio,
  on August 6, 1968, to Leonel and Eva Alvarez, and she grew up with
  six siblings; she was born again at the age of 17, and she went on to
  marry the love of her life and her ministry partner, Jeremy Coe;
  over the course of a fulfilling marriage spanning 26 years, the
  couple raised four children, Casandra, Brenton, Jeremy, and Raquel;
  they also experienced the joy of welcoming six grandchildren into
  their treasured family; and
         WHEREAS, After traveling full time for about a decade,
  Mrs. Coe and her husband moved to Henderson, where they founded the
  nondenominational Just As You Are Church in 2001; the couple
  relocated their ministry to Tyler as Real Life Church in 2013, and
  three years later, they sold their church building to focus on
  prison ministry; in 2021, Mr. and Mrs. Coe launched Real Talk, a
  weekly radio program for prisoners that aired in Texas, New Mexico,
  Oklahoma, and Louisiana; it expanded and became Real Vida TV in
  2023, producing audio and video podcasts for viewers both inside
  and outside of prison walls; the program has since reached millions
  of prisoners in every state and countless fans around the world;
  affectionately known as "Mama Eve, the mother of all prisoners,"
  Mrs. Coe served for more than 35 years in the ministry, speaking and
  singing in English and Spanish at churches, prisons, and schools on
  three continents; and
         WHEREAS, An engaged citizen and an admired spiritual leader,
  Eve Coe leaves behind a legacy that will long be remembered by all
  those who were blessed to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eva Marie Coe and extend deepest
  condolences to the members of her family: to her husband, Jeremy
  Daniel Coe; to her children, Casandra Grace Aguilar and her fiancé,
  Zach Gerken, Brenton Lee Coe, Jeremy Daniel Coe II and his wife,
  Sarah, and Raquel Belen Coe; to her grandchildren, Mitchell,
  Natalie, Josiah, Jocelyn, Damon, and Navaeh; to her father, Leonel
  Alvarez; to her mother, Eva Torres Alvarez; to her siblings, Jane
  Rosario and her husband, Sullivan, Richard Alvarez, Maria Alvarez
  and her husband, Frank Azok, Alice Bower, Bertha Valenti and her
  husband, Sam, and Leonel Alvarez Jr. and his wife, Natalie; and to
  her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Eve Coe.
