SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Rob Kepple for his outstanding career with the Texas
  District and County Attorneys Association and for his 22 years of
  leadership as the organization's executive director; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of George Washington University Law
  School, Rob Kepple began his career by serving as an associate at
  the Fulbright and Jaworski law firm in Houston; he went on to
  distinguish himself as a prosecutor in Harris County, working
  under the legendary district attorney Johnny Holmes, and he rose
  to become a chief felony prosecutor; and
         WHEREAS, Rob joined the Texas District and County
  Attorneys Association in 1990 to oversee legal training of
  prosecutors throughout the state and to represent prosecutors at
  the State Capitol; he assisted in drafting and implementing the
  1993 Texas Penal Code, and in 2002, he accepted the role as
  executive director of the association; and
         WHEREAS, Under Rob's skilled leadership, the Texas
  District and County Attorneys Association has grown to become the
  largest statewide association of prosecutors in the nation; his
  impressive tenure is marked by such notable accomplishments as
  the formation of the Texas District and County Attorneys
  Foundation and the Prosecutor Management Institute, and he has
  been an indispensable asset to numerous legislators and aspiring
  prosecutors at The University of Texas School of Law; and
         WHEREAS, Rob Kepple is an esteemed legal expert who has
  left an indelible mark on the practice and application of law in
  Texas, and his leadership as executive director of the
  association will be greatly missed by all; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend Rob Kepple on his exemplary career
  and his many contributions to the Lone Star State and extend to
  him best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
