R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Maria Yuliana Soria Chavez has distinguished
  herself in her responsibilities as a legislative aide and policy
  specialist intern in the office of State Senator Roland Gutierrez
  during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Soria Chavez has
  provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
  tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of
  public service, she has learned more about the legislative process
  and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; among her
  many responsibilities, she has worked with constituents and
  advocacy groups, conducted research on legislative issues, and
  tracked and analyzed policy developments, bills, and voting
  records; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Arizona State University, Ms. Soria
  Chavez holds a bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal
  justice and a second bachelor's degree in Spanish linguistics; she
  is currently attending The University of Texas at Austin Lyndon B.
  Johnson School of Public Affairs, where she serves as marketing
  coordinator for the LBJ Latino Policy Research Symposium; in
  addition, she is a member of the 2025 Texas Legislative Internship
  Program; and
         WHEREAS, Maria Yuliana Soria Chavez has performed her duties
  as a legislative aide and policy specialist intern with skill and
  dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for
  her fine work; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby commend Maria Yuliana Soria Chavez for her service as a
  legislative aide and policy specialist intern in the office of
  State Senator Roland Gutierrez and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Soria Chavez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas Senate.
