SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt
  at the loss of Cooper Steven Dawson of the Greenville Police
  Department, who tragically died in the line of duty on November
  26, 2024, at the age of 28; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Bedford on December 20, 1995, to Steven
  and Marisa Dawson, Cooper Dawson grew up with the companionship
  of his two sisters, Kristen and Ashley; prior to joining the
  Greenville Police Department, he was a police officer with the
  City of Garland; throughout his career in law enforcement, he
  demonstrated a courageous spirit and a steadfast dedication to
  protecting and serving his community; and
         WHEREAS, Officer Dawson was known for his magnetic
  personality, his open heart, and his delightful sense of humor; a
  family man, he enjoyed creating lasting memories with those
  closest to him; in all his endeavors, he benefited from the love
  and support of his wife, Aubrey, and their three children, Ayden,
  Parker, and Kody; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his family and to the community he
  served so valiantly, Cooper Dawson lived a caring and purposeful
  life, and he leaves behind a legacy that will long be treasured by
  his loving family and all who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Officer Cooper Steven Dawson
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Aubrey Dawson; to his children, Ayden, Parker, and Kody
  Dawson; to his parents, Steven and Marisa Dawson; to his sisters,
  Kristen Dawson and her partner, Micah, and Ashley Sandoval and
  her husband, Kegan; to his grandfather, Randy Wright; and to his
  many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Cooper Dawson.
