SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 568
         WHEREAS, Speranza Coyle-Cross of Girl Scout Troop No. 7435
  has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this accomplishment
  truly merits recognition; and
         WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Coyle-Cross
  demonstrated creativity, initiative, and leadership in
  completing a Take Action project that has resulted in lasting and
  positive change; after careful research and planning, she
  revitalized a neglected area of Limestone Quarry Park by planting
  native species that will stabilize the landscape and attract
  pollinators essential to its ecosystem; in addition to improving
  the park's physical appearance, the initiative promotes
  environmental awareness, conservation, and responsible land
  care; moreover, the City of Frisco and local gardening groups
  have committed to maintaining the area, ensuring that the project
  will be sustained for years to come; and
         WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging
  young women to explore educational and career opportunities and
  to become more socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is
  helping its participants to achieve their greatest potential as
  engaged citizens and leaders; and
         WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Coyle-Cross
  has demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the
  highest ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with pride
  on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate Speranza Coyle-Cross on her
  receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Coyle-Cross as an expression of high regard from
  the Texas Senate.
