R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Sabah Pirali of Girl Scout Troop No. 4930 has |
|
attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this accomplishment truly |
|
merits recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Pirali demonstrated |
|
creativity, initiative, and leadership in completing a Take Action |
|
project that has resulted in lasting and positive change; |
|
recognizing the challenges faced by individuals with dementia, she |
|
researched the benefits of sensory items and created fidget |
|
blankets that engage the senses and provide tactile stimulation; |
|
she donated the blankets to local elderly homes, and she also helped |
|
to raise awareness about the importance of sensory engagement for |
|
dementia patients by sharing information through websites, |
|
brochures, and social media; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Pirali has further distinguished herself as a |
|
member of the Class of 2025 at Heritage High School in Frisco; and |
|
WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging |
|
young women to explore educational and career opportunities and to |
|
become more socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping |
|
its participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged |
|
citizens and leaders; and |
|
WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Pirali has |
|
demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |
|
ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with pride on a job |
|
well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby congratulate Sabah Pirali on her receipt of the Girl Scout |
|
Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Pirali as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
Senate. |
