SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the LOVB Austin Volleyball women's professional team,
  which recently won the championship title at the inaugural League
  One Volleyball Pro Finals in April of 2025; and
         WHEREAS, The LOVB Pro league is a dynamic, fledgling
  professional volleyball league which features some of the best
  players in the world, including many athletes who have
  represented Team USA at the Olympic Games and players from more
  than 20 countries who have also competed on their respective
  national Olympic teams; and
         WHEREAS, LOVB is a nationwide volleyball business that
  represents more than 1,500 junior club youth teams across the
  United States, and the establishment of the Pro league is a
  pivotal step toward fulfilling the organization's mission to
  transform the sport of volleyball and to champion athletes
  throughout their volleyball journeys; among LOVB's objectives
  are developing youth players, guiding athletes during the
  college recruitment process and on the path to playing
  professionally, and creating a community of players and former
  players that fosters mentorship and collaborative growth; and
         WHEREAS, The inaugural LOVB Pro season began in January of
  2025 with six teams based in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison,
  Omaha, and Salt Lake City, and the season concluded with all
  teams vying for the championship title at the LOVB Pro Finals
  held in Louisville in April; although the champsionship-winning
  LOVB Austin Volleyball team entered the tournament as the fifth
  seed, their extraordinary efforts earned the team first place at
  the finals in an impressive reverse-sweep, and they were awarded
  the league's inaugural championship trophy; and
         WHEREAS, The team members of LOVB Austin have proven to be
  formidable competitors in the newest enterprising professional
  volleyball league as well as on national and Olympic courts; they
  have represented the Lone Star State with exceptional skill,
  dedication, and sportsmanship, and they are indeed deserving of
  special recognition for their outstanding achievements and for
  their devoted efforts in advancing the sport of volleyball; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend the players, coaches, and staff of
  LOVB Austin Volleyball on their championship win at the 2025 LOVB
  Pro Finals and extend to all associated with the LOVB Pro league
  best wishes for continued success in their endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
