within months, the community grew from a siding established on |

1926, the town was incorporated; and |

newspaper, the Tri-County Record; and |
WHEREAS, Today, McCamey has a population of approximately |
1,700 people; it remains an oil-producing town, and its economy |

houses that date back to its founding, and the development of |
such institutions as the Mendoza Trail Museum help to preserve |
the area's rich history; and |
WHEREAS, The citizens of McCamey are working to safeguard |
