R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
  milestones, and Izabella Paz Gutierrez participated in that joyful
  occasion with her graduation from Antonian College Preparatory High
  School in San Antonio on May 22, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Izabella Gutierrez was born on Father's Day,
  June 17, 2007, a fitting beginning for someone who has always known
  how to make an entrance and leave a lasting impression; from her
  earliest days, she has been a radiant presence: kind-hearted,
  loving, intellectually curious, and blessed with creative talent;
  whether in the classroom, on stage, or in her community, she has
  brought passion, excellence, and compassion to everything she has
  undertaken; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Gutierrez is the beloved daughter of State
  Senator Roland Gutierrez and Sarah Sanchez Gutierrez, and she is
  the cherished older sister of Victoria Pilar Gutierrez; her
  family's love and pride in her achievements are boundless; and
         WHEREAS, After beginning her educational journey at
  Discovery School in San Antonio, Ms. Gutierrez's natural joy for
  learning blossomed in a nurturing and imaginative environment; she
  continued her academic and spiritual growth at St. George Episcopal
  School, embracing opportunities to explore her leadership,
  service, and creative gifts; during this time, she learned the
  value of helping others by taking part in the Girl Scouts of the
  USA; in addition, she participated in volleyball, track,
  basketball, and drama, where she found her passion for singing and
  acting; whether on stage or behind the scenes, her talent for
  performing stood out, shining in such roles as Rafiki in The Lion
  King and as The Witch in Into the Woods; and
         WHEREAS, During her years at Antonian College Preparatory
  High School, Ms. Gutierrez continued to thrive academically and
  artistically; she was an active member of the drama club, further
  showcasing her range and passion for performance in the production
  of Sister Act and as Babette and Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and
  her dedication and talent earned her induction into the prestigious
  International Thespian Society; outside of theater, she
  demonstrated skill and sportsmanship as a member of the golf team,
  and she and her teammates competed in a number of Texas Association
  of Private and Parochial Schools State Championships; on the honor
  roll for nearly all of high school, she was also inducted into the
  National Spanish Honor Society for her academic excellence and love
  of language; and
         WHEREAS, Beyond the classroom and the stage, Ms. Gutierrez
  has given generously of her time and energy to the National Charity
  League, showing her dedication to helping others and giving back;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Gutierrez is not only a gifted performer, but
  she is also a visionary with a heart for justice and change; she has
  been accepted to The University of Texas at Austin, where she will
  pursue a degree at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs,
  preparing herself to be a leader who makes a meaningful and lasting
  difference in the world; and
         WHEREAS, Izabella Gutierrez embodies grace, determination,
  creativity, and compassion, and she is a role model to her peers and
  a beacon of hope for the future; her story is just beginning, and
  there is no doubt that she will continue to use her voice, her
  talents, and her heart to uplift others and inspire change, forever
  guided by the love of her family; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
  hereby congratulate Izabella Paz Gutierrez on the occasion of her
  high school graduation and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Gutierrez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas Senate.
