SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 640
         WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
  milestones, and Kathleen Margaret Wallace is participating in
  that joyful occasion with her graduation from L. C. Anderson High
  School in Austin on June 3, 2025; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exceptional student-athlete, Ms. Wallace
  lettered in water polo for two years at Anderson, and she was
  accepted into the school's Practicum in STEM program; as part of
  the program, she worked in the intensive care unit at Ascension
  Seton Northwest Hospital, and in 2022, she became an ICU patient
  herself; while battling a serious illness, she served as an
  inspiration to others, demonstrating tremendous resilience and
  maintaining a positive outlook throughout her lengthy hospital
  stay; and
 
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Wallace enjoys the love
  and support of her parents, Darrel and Margaret Frain Wallace,
  and her brothers, Patrick and Peter; she plans to continue her
  volunteer work at the Laity Lodge Youth Camp in Leakey this
  summer before enrolling in college in fall 2025; and
 
         WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
  outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family
  and friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright
  with promise; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate Kathleen Wallace on the
  occasion of her high school graduation and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Wallace as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
