SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 652
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Milton Gibson
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Milton Ray Gibson of Longview on March 27, 2025, at the
  age of 93; and
         WHEREAS, Born on March 17, 1932, in Hallsville, Milton
  Gibson was the son of Earl and Frances Gibson, and he grew up
  alongside his siblings, Linda, Kenneth, Wendell, June, and
  Virginia; answering his nation's call to duty, he served in the
  U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954; he later built a successful career
  with Texas Eastman, where he worked for four decades before
  retiring; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Gibson shared a devoted marriage with his wife
  of nearly 67 years, Nora Nalda Bullock Gibson, until her passing
  in 2020; together they raised three daughters, Becky, Karen, and
  Paula, and over the years, their cherished family grew to include
  eight grandchildren and numerous great- and
  great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to
  his life; he was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church
  and Woodland Hills Baptist Church for many years, and Mr. and
  Mrs. Gibson both enjoyed traveling and conducting genealogical
  research; and
         WHEREAS, Admired for his humor, quick wit, and joyful
  spirit, Milton Gibson's warmth and good nature touched the lives
  of many, and he left behind a legacy of love and service that will
  be forever cherished; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Milton Ray
  Gibson and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family:
  to his children, Becky McKinney and her husband, Thomas, Karen
  Taylor, and Paula Linton; to his 8 grandchildren, 19
  great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; to his
  sister, Linda Gayle Rogers; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Milton Gibson.
