SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 664
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  James Huston
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of James Edward Huston of Atlanta on April 6, 2025, at the
  age of 95; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Para and Stinson Huston, Jim Huston was
  born on October 19, 1929, in Trinity and grew up sharing in the
  companionship of his three siblings, Betty Alice, Terry, and
  Peggy; he graduated from Trinity High School and continued his
  education at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned
  a degree in forestry; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, this patriotic Texan
  served his country in Japan during the Korean War and worked in
  intelligence; following his military career, he spent three
  decades working for International Paper before his retirement in
  1985; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Huston enjoyed the love
  and affection of his wife, Treaca, and he took great pride in his
  daughter, Lisa; with the passing years, he was further blessed
  with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Jim Huston lived a life that was rich in personal
  and professional achievements, and he will forever be a source of
  inspiration to those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of James Edward
  Huston and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his
  passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Jim Huston.
