R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their |
|
memories of Laura Ruth Tedford of Brownsboro, who passed away on |
|
November 18, 2021, at the age of 60; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Laura Parker was born to Randy and Sarah |
|
Parker on August 11, 1961, in Tyler and grew up with the |
|
companionship of her sister, Mary; she graduated from Brownsboro |
|
High School in 1979 and continued her education at Southwestern |
|
Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie before graduating from |
|
The University of Texas at Tyler with bachelor's degrees in |
|
business and education; and |
|
WHEREAS, On March 20, 1981, she exchanged the vows of |
|
marriage with David Tedford; in the course of a rewarding union that |
|
spanned four decades, the couple were blessed with two children, |
|
Drew and Lauren, and they had the pleasure of seeing their family |
|
grow to include five grandchildren, Jack, Mary, Elizabeth, Eli, and |
|
Beau; and |
|
WHEREAS, After devoting much of her time to her children |
|
during their early years, Mrs. Tedford began teaching at Chandler |
|
Elementary School in 1992, and she went on to earn a real estate |
|
license and to work with her father and sister at Crestview |
|
Properties in Chandler; sustained by a deep and abiding faith, she |
|
was a lifelong member of Chandler First Assembly of God; in her |
|
leisure hours, she enjoyed playing dominoes and visiting the beach; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Admired for her patience, generosity, and |
|
conviction, Laura Tedford brightened the world for all who knew |
|
her, and they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby pay tribute to the life of Laura Ruth Tedford and extend |
|
heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Laura Tedford. |
