SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 680
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Mary Heines
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Mary Pollard Heines of Tyler on February 12, 2025, at
  the age of 92; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of State Senator Tomas G. Pollard Sr.
  and Edna Martin Pollard, the former Mary Pollard was born in
  Tyler on March 2, 1932, and she grew up on her family's farm with
  the companionship of two brothers, Tomas and Jack; she graduated
  as valedictorian of Tyler High School in 1949, and she went on to
  attend Stephens College; in 1953, she received a degree in radio,
  television, and film from The University of Texas at Austin,
  where she joined the Chi Omega Sorority; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Heines enjoyed a rewarding career in
  commercial real estate that spanned more than 25 years, and she
  served as a property manager, leasing agent, and asset manager
  for Pollard Heines Buildings; active in her community, she was
  involved in the Philanthropic Educational Organization; she was
  also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the
  Daughters of the Republic of Texas; during her leisure hours, she
  found pleasure in gardening, traveling, and playing bridge; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family, Ms. Heines took
  great pride in her sons, Blair, Martin, and Clinton, and with the
  passing years, her family grew to include numerous grandchildren
  and a great-grandson; and
         WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, the passage of
  time will never diminish the joy and love that Mary Heines
  brought into the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Pollard
  Heines and extend heartfelt sympathy to her family: to her
  brother, Jack W. Pollard, and his wife, Janelle; to her sons,
  Blair Heines and his wife, Dina, Martin Heines and his wife,
  Michelle, and Clinton Heines; to her grandchildren and
  great-grandson; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Mary Heines.
