SENATE RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
Legislature, Regular Session, 2025, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
Senate Bill 650 (requiring the use of electronically readable
information to verify a purchaser's age in the retail sale of
alcoholic beverages) to consider and take action on the following
  matter:
Senate Rule 12.03(2) is suspended to permit the committee
to omit text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION 2 of the

Beverage Code.  The omitted text reads:

commercial driver's license, or other identification certificate
for the purpose of verifying a purchaser's age in the retail sale
of an alcoholic beverage on the premises of the package store for
  off-premises consumption.
