No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would authorize certain agencies to pay compensation to employees, who are classified in salary groups A12 through A17, twice a month (rather than once a month). There could be an acceleration of cash outlays for the agencies who would choose to pay the applicable employees twice a month that would affect the certification balance for the 2026-27 biennium. That amount cannot be estimated but is not expected to be significant.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
