HB1221 by Lozano (Relating to increasing the reimbursement fee for certain expenses related to pretrial intervention programs.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to increase the reimbursement fee certain prosecutors may charge for a defendant's participation in a pretrial diversion program from not more than $500 to not more than $1,200. 

The Office of Court Administration (OCA) does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to the state court system. 

Local Government Impact

According to OCA, the bill could have a positive fiscal impact to units of local government that choose to increase the reimbursement fee.
