FISCAL NOTE, 89TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 25, 2025

TO:
Honorable Giovanni Capriglione, Chair, House Committee on Delivery of Government Efficiency

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1500 by Bell, Keith (Relating to the continuation and functions of the Department of Information Resources, including the composition of the governing body of the department.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would continue the Department of Information Resources (DIR) for 12 years and require DIR to implement recommendations by the Sunset Commission. Based on the analysis of the Department of Information Resources and the Sunset Advisory Commission, it is assumed that any costs associated with implementation of the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
