No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the Health and Human Services Commission or any state agency that administers any part of Medicaid from accepting information provided by a recipient in an application for benefits under another public assistance program for the purpose of conducting an ex parte renewal of a recipient's Medicaid eligibility except as expressly required by federal law.

It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
