LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 89TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 12, 2025

TO:
Honorable Cecil Bell, Chair, House Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3174 by Rose (Relating to county and hospital district disease control pilot programs to reduce the risk of certain infectious and communicable diseases; authorizing fees.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

The bill would exempt a person affiliated with a disease control pilot as provided by the bill from certain misdemeanor penalties. As a result, penalty revenue could be reduced. However, the impact is unlikely to be significant.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
