No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the county assessor-collector to post on the county's website, and the assessor to include on tax bills, the percentage of local maintenance and operations (M&O) taxes the school district pays for purchasing attendance credits, the percentage of M&O taxes the school district retains, and a statement detailing how local property taxes fund public education and the role of recaptured funds, for each school district in the county that is subject to recapture.
