Honorable Jeff Leach, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB4862 by Longoria (relating to business organizations.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend several provisions of the Business Organizations Code relating to the
regulation and governance of various types of business and nonprofit entities.
According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), although the bill would create a new cause of action, it is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
OCA does not have data to estimate any local fiscal impact, therefore the fiscal implications of the bill to local entities cannot be determined at this time.
