No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would prohibit certain local entities from adopting policies or laws that limit the enforcement of state or federal drug laws, or placing them on a ballot for an election. The Office of the Attorney General would be authorized to collect civil penalties for violations of the bill.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
It is also assumed any revenue generated from civil penalties would have no significant fiscal impact to the state.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
