No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would the prohibit the suspension or termination of a public employee who reports wasteful spending or legal violations by their employer, another public employee, or elected officials to a law enforcement agency or the State Auditor's Office. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
