No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, institutions of higher education, and public employers from disciplining, retaliating against, or discriminating against a district, employee, or student who addresses another individual in terms consistent with their biological sex. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
