SB2601 by Blanco (relating to the landowner compensation program.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to modify eligibility requirements for the Landowners Compensation Program. The bill would also allow the Office of the Attorney General to request information from law enforcement agencies to aid with determining whether an applicant is qualified for compensation.

It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
