Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 89TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 17, 2025

TO:
Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB2722 by Bettencourt (relating to the use of certain tolls and charges imposed by certain counties; authorizing a civil penalty.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that any revenue or cost implications associated with the bill would be insignificant.

Local Government Impact

There could be an impact to Harris County related to the restrictions that would be placed on toll revenue and the civil penalty that could be imposed by the attorney general as authorized by the bill.
