No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow the Office of the Attorney General to impose civil penalties on independent school districts which utilize state or local funds to electioneer for against any candidate, measure, or political party.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
It is also assumed any revenues collected from civil penalties would have an insignificant fiscal impact.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
