Pursuant to a notice posted on June 12, 2026, revised on June 17, 2026, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Guillen, at 11:05 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Guillen; Cain; Hopper; Kitzman; Lopez, Janie; and McLaughlin.

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Chair made opening remarks.

 

Representative Darby was also in attendance.

 

The committee heard invited testimony on New World Screwworm.

 

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

 

At 8:33 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
