Pursuant to a notice posted on April 22, 2026, the House Committee on The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer, at 10:01 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Meyer; Moody; Darby; Dyson; and Gámez.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The committee met jointly with the Senate Committee on The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating.

 

The committee heard testimony about the July 2025 Flooding Events.

At 2:06 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 2:36 p.m., April 28, 2026.

 

The committee reconvened at 2:43 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer.

 

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Meyer; Moody; Darby; Dyson; and Gámez.

 

A quorum was present.

 

The committee heard testimony about the July 2025 Flooding Events.

At 10:30 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
