Pursuant to a notice posted on June 12, 2026, the House Committee on The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer, at 10:07 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Meyer; Moody; Darby; Dyson; and Gámez.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The committee met jointly with the Senate Committee on The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating.

 

The Chair called the Committee Investigators, Casey Garrett and Michael Massengale, to present a report and to answer questions on the July 2025 Flooding Events.

 

The Chair moved that the report of the The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating. be adopted.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Meyer; Moody; Darby; Dyson; Gámez (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).
