Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the E2.016.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The Committee met jointly with the House Committee on The July 2025 Flooding Events, General Investigating.

 

Witnesses testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

At 2:06 PM Senator Flores moved that the Committee stand recessed 2:36 PM, April 28, 2026. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

At 2:43 PM Senator Flores reconvened the meeting.

 

Testimony resumed, the committee heard testimony on the July 2025 Flooding events.

 

At 4:01 PM, Senator Flores moves the Committee stand at ease for 5 minutes.

 

At 4:12 PM Senator Flores reconvened the meeting.

 

Testimony resumed, the committee heard testimony on the July 2025 Flooding Events (see attached witness list).

 

There being no further business, at 10:29 PM Senator Flores moved that the Committee stand recessed, subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
