The Texas Legislative Council believes that the data provided on the FTP site will be the same as the data provided on the capitol.texas.gov site. Therefore, the TLC requires that legislative data services companies stop data mining the capitol.texas.gov site so that the public does not have to compete with these companies for access.

The TLC monitors its Internet servers. If legislative data services companies persist in data mining the public Internet servers, the TLC will block connections to the servers.
