This Act takes effect immediately, except: (1) Section 105(b) and Section 2 take effect on the date the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (SB 393, 77th Legislature) takes effect; (2) Section 105(c) and Sections 3, 7, 9, 14(b), 15, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 45-52, 54, 57, 79, 87, 91, 93, 94(3), (5), and (6), and 96(a)-(d) and (f) take effect September 1, 2001; (3) Section 105(d) and Section 90 take effect October 1, 2001; (4) Section 105(e) and Sections 80-86 take effect January 1, 2002; (5) Section 67(a) takes effect on the date the comptroller certifies that the comptroller has completed modifications to the uniform statewide accounting system to enable compliance with Section 2251.025(e), Government Code; (6) Section 97(c) takes effect on the date that Section 67(a) takes effect; (7) Section 78 takes effect only if HB 2912, 77th Legislature, takes effect; and (8) Section 99 takes effect only if HB 819, 77th Legislature, takes effect.
